Pictures

Living in the woods surrounded by trees can cause a problem with lighting. I have a very dark house that not a lot of natural light comes through. Taking pictures of my batts, yarn and fiber and getting the true color has always been a challenge. The majority of the year it is not feasible for me to photograph outside. I don't know much about photography to begin with and as far as using my camera I know the basics from the manual and that is it. I recently purchased a portable lighting studio and have been messing around with that. I would appreciate any feedback on the above photos. They were taken three different ways, so if you could just comment on which you look you liked the best to the worst that would be great. Thanks for your help, Jen

I am thinking I like the top one best!! The fiber in all three is gorgeous, of course!!

The green looks just the tiniest bit washed out to me. The other two look perfect. Good job! I may need to look into this light thing for C's pictures.

I like the middle the best, top next and bottom last. The top looks a bit brighter, but I like the end of the batt facing the camera in the way that the middle one does.

The violet looks perfect! It is sharp and the colors seem to be realistic.
The green looks a bit out of focus. Perhaps your camera used a wrong ISO number because of too less light?
The pink looks also well. But the sharpness is in the background. Try to use the macro mode of your camera! It's the button with the little flower.

They are beautiful! But I get so distracted with the fiber it's hard to critique the pictures. hehe
